The Porn Kings – Cleaning Out the Opposition
The CCP is currently expanding an anti-vice campaign nationwide,
because CCTV’s undercover investigation into the Dongguan porn
industry was overwhelmingly ridiculed and a series of official
criticisms triggered bigger civil rebound.
Commentators say that this is a reflection of social confrontation
and division, and an exposure of the CCP’s falling from the
monopoly of ideology discourse power.
February 18, the CCP media reported that since the Dongguan porn
ring exposure in CCTV, there are dozens of cities participating
in the anti-vice campaign.
In Sichuan province Chengdu city, 6500 police cleaned up
more than 600 entertainments.
In Harbin, more than 4,800 police cleaned up 2,700 various
types of entertainments.
It is said that, since February 9, over 1300 prostitution and
public security cases were investigated,
501 suspects were arrested, 2410 pornographic sites were
suspended for rectification.
Currently, the relevant case investigations and ground work
are still in progress.
Beijing political watcher Hua Po: “Although everywhere is
bustling to catch up,
the results should be a big question mark because thousands of
police only caught very few.
I believe it’s just a puff of wind movement and it will be back
to normal after that.”
Beijing political watcher Hua Po pointed out that the officials
have shares in various types of entertainment;
the sex industry is regarded as an economic subsidy in some
places, plus the Chinese economy is facing collapse, the anti-vice is
a crackdown of the Party itself.
Hua Po:"Especially the Fed. will halt Quantitative Easing, Chinese
liquidity and banks have been stretched, the medium and
small banks are facing closure possibility.
Everyone knows that we can’t underestimate the stimulus boost
of the sex industry to the economy.
The current anti-vice can make the Chinese economy even worse. “
A financial expert analyzed that the Dongguan anti-vice
investigation alone may cause 50 billion yuan loss, 10% of
Dongguan’s GDP.
So why does the CCP launch a nationwide anti-vice storm?
The former “Hebei People’s Radio" Editor Zhu Xinxin:
“Officials try to distract the public focus for a few months’
with the so called anti-corruption campaign generating
a lot of heat.
Actually, anti-corruption is the foremost public concern."
February 9, “CCTV" exposed the undercover investigation into
Dongguan’s porn industry in “Focus" program.
Dongguan had large-scale activities by sending 7,000 local
police to close down a variety of porno sites.
That night, Chinese netizens mocked the scene of the anti-vice in
CCTV using CCP’s words in the earthquake relief, such as,
“Don’t cry, Dongguan “, “Dongguan, hold on", “Dongguan,
cheer up", “Tonight we are all Dongguanese", etc.
The most representative sarcasm is:
“to beat the tigers and flies, the chicken was shot."
Some people criticized that the CCTV “fried the peer “.
Someone mocked: “the one selling his soul always looks down
on the one selling his body".
It’s generally believed the Dongguan sex trade is the social version
of the “CCTV" female anchors and the various CCP military
cultural troupe.
Recently sacked CCTV former Deputy Director Li Dongsheng
was exposed as a pimp and pimped the beautiful anchors,
and stars to the CCP officials;
making the CCTV as Zhongnanhai inner circle.
Continental freelance writer, former “Hebei People’s Radio"
editor Zhu Xinxin believes that:
it is a reflection of social confrontation and division on the
rebound from CCTV’s undercover investigation into Dongguan.
Zhu Xinxin: “The real target is not to evaluate Dongguan’s
campaign;
in fact, people try to refute the official media because of it
because CCTV is the CCP mouthpiece.
People are very angry with it and try to voice anger at the CCP."
Folk’s sarcasm nettled the CCP.
Then CCP mouthpiece media “People’s Daily", “Xinhua News
Agency" and so on criticized all people’s moral s who supported
Dongguan,
and warned “big V" not to touch the bottom line of morality
and law with many pages and much program time.
Zhu Xinxin analyzed, that the CCP mouthpiece trying to defend
“CCTV" is actually to maintain the CCP’s discourse power dominance
and their monopoly on authoritarian ideology.
Zhu Xinxin: “CCP’s rule is just lying and concealing
with gun and pen.
Once it’s public opinion is attacked, it will of course try to
compete for dominance of public discourse.
It will maintain its position without challenge from folks."
Zhu Xinxin believes that CCTV is just a target used by people.
In fact, we are attacking the CCP’s authoritarian dominance.
