Dark Scenes Behind the CCP’s Mental Illness Claims
Recently, people were attacked by knives in Beijing,
Sichuan and Guangdong Provinces.
The authorities reported that these people
had mental problems.
The public debated whether these attackers really have
mental illness or are being labeled mentally unstable.
On July 22, in a shopping mall in Beijing, a man showed
his identification and bought a knife.
He suddenly turned around, stabbed other customers
behind him, killed one, and injured three, including two kids.
The state media claimed that the man has a history
of mental illness.
Allegedly, he was sent to a hospital for treatment
in September 2012, then was later released in January.
On July 23, in Guangxi Province, a 33-year-old father broke
into the Family Planning Bureau with a knife, killing two and injuring four.
China’s Central TV news reported that the man didn’t pay
the illegal child penalty and has a history of mental illness.
On the same day, in Sichuan Province, three people
were slashed on the way to work.
The man attacker was arrested.
Media reported that the man, who rents a place
in the local area, has a history of mental problems.
Yang Fude, director of Beijing Huilongguan Hospital,
analyzed the attackers’ reasoning.
Yang cited China Mental Health Center’s data, which says,
“There are 170 million people with a mental disorder,
of which over 16 million people have severe mental illness."
Within 24 hours, three mental patients attacked
people with knives. This sparked netizen debates.
Why, recently in China, are those who the government
claims to be trouble makers often temporary workers?
Why females who are raped are exotic dancers
and the majority of killers are said to have mental illness?
Netizen “wulingsanren," who doesn’t think it’s a coincidence,
questioned why these mentally ill are wandering the street.
Zhang Zanning, Professor at the Law School of Southeast
University, executive director of China Health Law Society,
told Radio Free Asia that China’s psychosis rate
is relatively high.
The leading cause is the social inequality
and other factors, Zhang said.
For example, the court puts no effort into fair ruling of cases.
There are too many misjudged cases occurring in China.
Generally speaking, the further reasons for the cause
is due to inequality in society, he believes.
Zhu Xinxin, Hebei Radio Station editor: “The CCP
is the same as the former Soviet Union,
they claimed those who dared to speak and defend
their human rights are mentally ill.
They locked them up in the hospital
and carried out persecution."
ng activist, Tianli, told NTD that
the authorities are using mental hospitals
to replace detention centers and labor camps.
Tianli: “About two months ago, many migrant workers
who protested about not being paid any wages,
climbed up on top of the bridge and attempted
to jump off. It blocked traffic.
The authorities classified them as mentally ill
and locked them up."
In recent years, many “forced mental illness" cases
were exposed.
For example, in 2008, a farmer in Shandong was arrested
by local authorities on his way to appeal.
The farmer was locked in a mental hospital for over 20 days.
In July 2008, after Wang Jing’s son, Yang Jie, attacked police,
Wang Jing was sent to a mental hospital by police.
Police used this to prevent Wang Jing from appointing
a lawyer for her son.
In addition, a farmer, Wu Chunxiao, in Zhoukou City,
Henan Province, was held in a mental hospital for 132 days due to appeal.
Minghui website has revealed that the CCP sent thousands
of Falun Gong practitioners to mental hospitals,
giving them injections to damage their central nervous
system in order to deceive the public into believing Falun Gong practitioners have mental illness.
Hu Jun, director of Human Rights Campaign in China:
“The CCP intends to cover up the social conflicts.
In order to shift responsibility, the CCP claimed that they are
not the leading cause, as these people had mental problems.
Thus they can be sent to mental hospital."
Hu Jun believes that the CCP treats human rights activists,
those who uphold their beliefs and petitioners, as mental cases.
Thus the CCP claims they should be locked up into hospital.
It happens very frequently, as it is easy for
the CCP to operate without supervision.
