【新唐人北京時間2021年01月07日訊】1月6日美國國會認證大選結果，但示威者不久後衝入國會大廈，致使會議中斷。期間警察開槍，疑似導致一名女示威者受到致命重傷。白宮新聞發言人宣布，川普（特朗普）總統已向國會大廈派遣國民警衛隊。
當地時間下午3時36分，白宮發言人麥克納尼（Kayleigh McEnany）在推特宣布，根據川普總統的指令，國民警衛隊以及其它聯邦保衛部門正派人前往國會大廈。
麥克納尼重申川普總統的呼籲，反對暴力，保持和平。

稍早前，川普連發兩條推文，要求衝入國會大廈的人保持和平，不要使用暴力。

在國會於下午1時開會後不久，場外部份示威者就強行衝破警方防線，進入國會大廈。在進入大廈的衝突過程中，警察一度朝示威者開槍射擊。現場視頻顯示，一名年輕女示威者頸部受傷，隨後被擔架車推出大廈，情況疑似很危急。
