【新唐人2014年08月06日訊】刑滿倒計時 各界呼籲釋放高智晟
8月7號，被關押在新疆沙雅監獄的大陸律師高智晟刑期將滿，但是中共當局是否會如期放人，外界都很擔心，高智晟的妻子耿和一個月前就開始在網上倒計時，現在，終於可以以小時計算了。
據「英國廣播公司」《BBC》中文網報導，高智晟的兄長高智義為了迎接弟弟出獄，目前已經到了新彊，但是，是否可以見到弟弟、把弟弟帶回家，他並沒有信心，感到忐忑不安。
高智晟的好友，中國維權人士胡佳接受《BBC》中文網訪問時，也對高智晟出獄的事情表示擔心，他說，最壞的情況就是高智晟出獄後立即「被失蹤」，再被當局人員帶走，再次被「人間蒸發」。
據《自由亞洲電臺》報導，8月5號，台灣多個公民團體召開新聞發佈會，呼籲中共當局準時放人，還給高智晟真正的自由。
美國舊金山地區的中國民運人士和法輪功學員，也呼籲中共當局如期釋放高智晟，讓他與妻兒團聚。
在此之前，國際人權組織、美國國會都發表了聲明，要求中共如期釋放高智晟，還給他真正的自由。
現年50歲的高智晟，因在2004年到2005年間，多次發表致中共最高層公開信，要求停止對法輪功的殘酷迫害，而接連遭到中共當局的綁架、和酷刑折磨。2006年8月7號被判三年徒刑、緩刑五年。2011年被撤銷緩刑，投入新疆沙雅縣監獄服刑。
雲南地震傷亡嚴重 被指涉「人禍」
雲南魯甸縣2天前發生的6.5級地震，已經造成四百多人死亡，兩千多人受傷。在救災的同時，輿論也分析造成嚴重傷亡的原因。
據《自由亞洲電臺》報導，一名在雲南地震災區救援的人士表示，嚴重傷亡的背後，依然是劣質建築的人禍因素，和政府對當地危房排查的不作為。
中共巡視組到河北 數千警戒備
聲稱要「向群眾廣泛徵集問題線索」的中共第六巡視組，上週已經進駐河北省，不過，卻斷絕與民眾溝通的途徑。
當地訪民對《自由亞洲電臺》表示：「河北省大批訪民聚集省會石家莊，要向巡視組伸冤。巡視組下榻的酒店外，有大批武警戒備，訪民不斷遭到地方官員阻撓丶軟禁丶截訪丶迫害。巡視組公布的電話則始終無法打通。」

End of Gao Zhisheng’s Sentence Mere Hours Away,
Supporters Call For His Release
The jail term of Chinese lawyer Gao Zhisheng is ending on
August 7. Gao is imprisoned in Shayar prison, Xinjiang.
But observers are concerned the Chinese authorities
may not release him on schedule.
One month ago Gao’s wife, Geng He, began a countdown
online, for the days, and now hours, until his release.
The BBC’s Chinese website reports that
Gao Zhisheng’s brother Gao Zhiyi has arrived in Xinjiang
ready to receive his brother from prison.
However, he says he isn’t confident
about whether they’ll meet and return home together.
Chinese activist Hu Jia, a friend of Gao Zhisheng,
said in an interview with BBC that he’s also concerned.
Hu says the worst case scenario is that Gao Zhisheng gets
disappeared by the authorities after being released.
Radio Free Asia (RFA) reports that on August 5,
many civic groups in Taiwan held a news conference
to call on the Chinese Communist authorities
to release Gao Zhisheng on schedule
and return to Gao his true freedom.
Chinese democracy activists and Falun Gong practitioners
in San Francisco also called on the Chinese authorities to
release Gao Zhisheng on schedule
and let him reunite with his wife and children.
Before this, international human rights organizations as well
as the U.S. Congress have issued statements
calling on the Chinese authorities to release Gao Zhisheng
on schedule and return to him his real freedom.
The now 50-year-old Gao Zhisheng was kidnapped, arrested
and tortured for sending open letters between 2004 and 2005
to top ranks of the Chinese Communist Party, calling on them
to end the brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners.
On August 7, 2006, he was sentenced to three years in prison
sentence and placed on probation for five years.
He served the sentence in Shayar prison in Xinjiang
when his probation was revoked in 2011.
Serious Casualties in Yunnan Earthquake is Charged with Man-made.
Two days ago, a magnitude 6.5 earthquake in Ludian County
caused over 400 deaths and left more than 2,000 injured.
As relief efforts continue, observers analyze the cause
of the serious casualties.
RFA reports that a rescue worker said that
behind the serious disaster, there remain manmade causes
due to the local government’s inaction on shoddy construction
and investigations on dangerous buildings.
Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Inspection Team Arrived in
Hebei With Thousands Police Alert
The sixth inspection team of the Central Commission for
Discipline Inspection, charged with “collecting clues from
the people," has stationed itself in Hebei Province.
However, they’ve cut off communication channels to the public.
Local petitioners told RFA that a large number of petitioners
gathered Hebei’s provincial capital, Shijiazhuang city,
to appeal to the inspection team.
A large number of armed police patrol outside the
hotel in which the inspection team stayed.
Petitioners are constantly being obstructed by local officials,
such as being put under house arrest and persecuted.
The inspection team’s could not be reached via their published
phone number, which does not connect.
