【新唐人2013年08月31日訊】港媒：中共對周永康展開腐敗調查
8月30號，香港一家報紙說，中共最高領導層已經決定對前中央政治局常委周永康，進行腐敗調查。
香港《南華早報》報導，據消息人士披露，在最近結束的北戴河會議上，中共最高領導層決定以他在四川和中石油任職期間的問題為重點，展開腐敗調查。
報導說，周永康被查對中共政壇所造成的衝擊，可能比薄熙來案更大。
消息人士還說，中共黨內對周永康家族斂財數目之龐大感到憤怒，出席北戴河會議的新舊中共領導人，決定對他進行調查，習近平親自下令官員「徹查到底」。
報導分析，由於預期的影響巨大，對周永康的調查報告，不會在11月中共十八屆三中全會召開之前發表。
人權觀察：中共鎮壓異見人士更嚴重
國際人權組織「人權觀察」8月30號發表報告說，中共當局在全國鎮壓對一黨專政帶來挑戰的異見人士。
報告說，從今年2月開始，中共當局任意拘留了55位維權人士、監禁了多名網上領袖，並加強了對網上言論的管制。
報告提及正在被刑拘的北京知名法學家許志永、廣東知名維權人士郭飛雄，以及中國維權運動新公民運動的參與者。
報告還說，根據中共黨媒的報導，中共國務院新聞辦公室在8月10號跟網上博主會面，要求他們根據中共當局所訂下的「七條底線」發表言論，說明當局正在進行更嚴密的網路監管。中共當局聲稱，推出「七條底線」是為了打擊網路造謠，但外界卻認為這是打壓反對政府和申訴不公的聲音。

Hong Kong Media: Source Reveals Xi Jinping Orders Investigation of Zhou Yongkang
On August 30, Hong Kong’s media reported a story
on the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) top leadership.
They will investigate Zhou Yongkang.
Zhou is a former head of the Politburo.
Hong Kong’s South China Morning Post quoted an inside
source, revealing information from recent Beidaihe meetings.
The top-levels decided to focus on investigating Zhou’s
corruption, during his tenure in Sichuan and PetroChina.
The report said that the investigation on Zhou will have more
political effect within the CCP, compared with Bo’s case.
The inside source also said that the CCP is furious
over the amount of assets that Zhou has seized.
The Beidaihe meeting attendees included former
leadership persons, who decided to investigate Zhou.
Xi Jinping issued the order.
The report analyzed that due to the potentially huge
effect this may have, the investigation report on Zhou
will not be published before the November party meeting.
Human Rights Watch: Chinese Communist Party Intensifies Suppression of Activists
On August 30, the organization
Human Rights Watch issued an report.
It said the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is
continuing a nationwide crackdown on dissents.
This is in an apparent campaign against
perceived challenges to one-Party rule.
The report said that from February 2013, at least 55
activists have been detained arbitrarily by authorities.
They have taken critics and online leaders into
custody, and increased controls on online expression.
The report mentions several former arrested
activists, including Beijing legal expert Xu Zhiyong.
They also include Guangdong activist Guo Feixiong, and
participants of the New Citizen Human Rights Campaign.
The report stated that according to the state media,
the State Council held a meeting on August 10 with
some of these bloggers, to ensure these opinion
leaders would not breach “seven bottom lines".
It reflects the authorities tightening internet controls.
The authorities claimed the “seven bottom
lines" are a crackdown on online rumors.
However, observers believe their purpose is to suppress
critics and silence the voice of those who seek justice.
