《香港商業電臺》主持人李慧玲,一向以敢言的風格批評香港政府和北京當局,2月12號她突然遭到解聘,電臺方面甚至不允許她回辦公室收拾個人物品。事件引起香港社會及部分傳媒嘩然。
李慧玲被解職的當晚,大約上百名記者手持蠟燭,在電臺辦公地點外進行抗議。13號,另有部分記者也舉行了示威活動。
李慧玲13號下午在「香港記者協會」舉行的記者會上表示,有香港行政長官梁振英身邊的人士,早已提醒她要小心,李慧玲說,她百分之百的認為,這次事件是梁振英當局對新聞自由及言論自由的打壓,而商業電臺是在壓力下做出妥協。
李慧玲事件被認為是繼香港《明報》撤換總編輯之後,港府和北京當局在香港傳媒界進行的又一個清洗行動。
民間機構發佈「被精神病」 年終報告
中國民間機構「民生觀察工作室」,2月13號發佈的2013年中國「被精神病」年終報告披露,在過去一年中,中國大陸又出現了眾多新的因上訪維權而被送入精神病醫院的案例。
這份名為《2013年中國精神健康與人權》的報告說,他們調查採訪的「被精神病」人員,有黨委書記、法官、大學老師,也有底層的豬販、農民工,而人數最多的是因上訪而被送入精神病院的公民。
報告顯示,「被精神病」受害者被強加的病名有精神分裂症、偏執型精神病、躁狂發作、偏執型人格障礙等。
報告還總結了精神病院的十大酷刑,如捆綁、長期囚禁、餵藥、鼻飼、打針、電擊、毆打、以及侮辱、威脅等。
大陸「民生觀察工作室」網站創辦人劉飛躍表示,儘管中共當局2013年頒布了所謂的《中國精神衛生法》,但是,「被精神病」案例仍在增加,侵犯人權的現象依然在持續。
2013「惡名市場」 中國八家上榜
美國貿易代表辦公室,2月12號發表2013年惡名市場不定期檢驗報告,列舉了有嚴重盜版和仿造活動的網路或實體市場,八家中國市場榜上有名。
美國貿易代表辦公室從去年開始,不定期公布全球範圍內,盜版和侵權行為嚴重的網上、以及實地或「街頭」貿易場所。這是這個機構第三次公布這類名單。
這次被美國貿易代表辦公室列入「臭名昭著貿易場所」名單的八家中國市場是:北京的秀水街、浙江義烏的小商品市場、深圳的羅湖商業城、福安鞋業及配飾市場、百腦匯,以及「迅雷」、「狗狗」 還有「拍拍」等網上貿易場所。

Famous Radio Shock Jock Was Dismissed
Hong Kong Commercial Radio host Li Huiling always criticized
Hong Kong Government and the Chinese authorities frankly.
On February 12, she was suddenly dismissed and forbidden
to pack up her personal belongings in her office.
The incident caused uproar in Hong Kong
and among some of the media.
Li Huiling was sacked at night, hundreds of reporters
protested outside the office holding candles.
On February 13, another group of reporters
also held demonstrations.
In the afternoon, Li Huiling said at a press conference from
The Hong Kong Correspondents Association that someone
with the Hong Kong Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying had
reminded her to be careful.
Li Huiling said she believes 100% that the incident was a
commercial radio compromise under Leung Chun-ying
authorities’ suppression on press and speech freedom.
The Li Huiling event was considered another cleaning action
from the Hong Kong Government and the Beijing authorities
after the Chief Editor replacement of Hong Kong “Ming Pao".
NGO’s Publish Year-End Report on Forced Psychosis Cases
On February 13, Chinese Civil Rights and Livelihood Watch
issued an annual report disclosing that in the past year,
China has had more psychiatric cases due to petitioning.
According to the 2013 China Mental Health and Human
Rights report, these forced psychiatric patients include party
secretaries, judges, university teachers, traders, migrant
workers, and the largest number are petitioners.
The report shows that the victims of forced psychosis had
non-aggressive schizophrenia, paranoid psychosis, mania,
paranoid personality disorders and so on.
The report also summarizes ten psychiatric tortures including
restraint, long-term imprisonment, forcing medicines, nasal
injection, electric shocks, beatings and insults and threats.
Chinese Civil Rights and Livelihood Watch website founder
Liu Feiyue said that forced psychosis cases are increasing and
human rights abuses still continue although Chinese officials
published the so-called “Chinese Mental Health Act" in 2013.
2013 “Notoriety Markets" Listed Eight Chinese Markets
On February 12, U.S. Trade Representative Office published
“irregular inspection of notoriety market” report which listed
websites and physical markets with serious piracy and
counterfeiting problems, 8 Chinese markets were highlighted.
The U.S. Trade Representative office began to publish online
and physical markets with serious piracy and infringement
worldwide from last year.
This was the third time of publishing these lists
from this organization.
The eight “infamous Chinese trade places" are:
Beijing Silk Road, Zhejiang Yiwu Small Commodity Market,
Shenzhen Luohu Commercial City, Fu An footwear and
accessories market, Buynow, and “Thunderbolt", “dog" and
online sites like “pat pat".
